What is the importance of the t score osteoporosis number?

The t score osteoporosis number is a number that indicates whether or not bone loss has occured. The STANDARD MEASUREMENT is the bone density measurement of a 30-year old premenopausal woman, for that is the age when our bones are the strongest.

The t score osteoporosis STANDARD DEVIATION is the number ABOVE or BELOW when peak bone mass occurs (compared to age 30).

In other words, a NEGATIVE t score osteoporosis number means there is BONE LOSS. The World Health Organization considers the following scores as the standard:

• A t-score ABOVE - 1 is considered NORMAL bone mass.
• A t-score BETWEEN - 2.5 and - 1 is LOW BONE MASS (called osteopenia).
• A t-score BELOW - 2.5 is considered OSTEOPOROSIS.

In general, for each standard deviation of a "-1" score, that indicates a bone loss of about 10-15%. This further means that with each 10-15% of bone loss, the risk of fracture increases 150-300%! Your doctor will obtain your t score by performing a bone mineral density test (BMD).

Women start experiencing bone loss at age 35 in most industrialized countries. According to Dr. Gaby and Dr. Lee, bone loss can be prevented with natural progesterone supplementation, good diet and exercise.

We strongly recommend that YOU read at least one of these books.

Harvard-trained Dr. John R. Lee explains the results he experienced in reversing bone loss in his family practice.

By adding natural progesterone supplementation to an existing natural osteoporosis treatment program, Dr. Lee has shown that bone density can be increased annually by 3-5% until it stabilizes at the levels that a healthy 35-year old would have!

The 100 women in his study ranged in age from 38 to 83 with 62.5 being the average age.

Amazingly, the women that had the most bone loss were the ones that increased bone density the FASTEST! Read for yourself what Dr. Lee says about this simple and effective approach to reversing osteoporosis.

Balance your hormones yourself!

Since using natural progesterone supplementation is so effective and safe, you may be able to balance your own hormones. You can read more about natural progesterone cream supplementation.

Both of these physicians - Dr. Lee and Dr. Gaby - have shown how you REALLY CAN slow and reverse the problems of osteoporosis.

NO MATTER what your age is, nor what your T score osteoporosis number is, nor how far from menopause you are!

Although both the estrogen and progesterone produced in the ovaries are vital to normal reproductive function, estrogen contributes and facilitates absorption of calcium from the digestive system for use of bone-building.

Estrogen also helps in the prevention of bone loss. Dr. Lee recommends that you take natural estrogen instead of the synthetic kind. Go to natural estrogen sources.

You are at risk for osteoporosis:

• if you are thin,
• if your calcium intake is low,
• if you do not exercise,
• if you smoke cigarettes,
• if you drink excessively,
• if you reached menopause before the age of 45,
• if you have had a hysterectomy and your ovaries were removed.

Do I need to take vitamins? Yes, although the cheap daily vitamins are probably a waste of time and money. Exposure to environmental pollutants, pesticides, additives, preservatives, stress, and sometimes poor diet, makes it that much harder to keep your body healthy.
